NEW We have just finished building a new 12v 3.5ltr dry sump RACE engine - it has always been a our desire to build our own race engine capable of running on regular pump fuel, with only medium compression, a reasonable cam, and using all modern immediately available (uprated) versions of original internal parts and some we designed ourselves, to obtain the gain.
That was the aim, and if everything worked in the way it should, it would last a couple of seasons before any "refresh" was needed - not like copies of the original racing motors with all their high comps, ridiculous cam lifts, avgas fuel and "no-fixit" when "gobang" attributes....... But would it make the power?
Well LOOK! - it came out with 365 bhp at 7000rpm and 297 ftlbs at 5500 and flat onwards.
Mind you, thats with a pukka BMW works mechanical slide injection system but *NOTE on an absolutely reputable and correct dyno.
Eat your heart out you doubters - and it looks properly period.
Only very serious punters with an up-front wedge need get in touch........absolutely no dreamers!
